Singapore Green Landscape 2020

Green Future is keeping track of the green organisations and groups, and the sustainability industry in Singapore through our 9th edition of the Singapore Green Landscape.

The Singapore Green Landscape 2020 highlights the key government reports that are related to sustainability, and introduces the non-governmental organisations, non-profits and social enterprises; green groups; business associations and groups; green websites and events; government agencies; and institutes and centres in Singapore, which are relevant to the environment.

We hope that this publication is useful for everyone who wish to know more about the state of the environment in Singapore, find and connect with the environmental organisations in Singapore, or explore personal and business opportunities.

Singapore’s Long-Term Low-Emissions Development Strategy (2020)

Singapore’s Long-Term Low-Emissions Development Strategy (LEDS) document titled “Charting Singapore’s Low-Carbon and Climate Resilient Future”, outlines our long-term development priorities and climate action policies and will serve as a reference point to inform our subsequent Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) under the Paris Agreement. It aims to facilitate long-term action to address the effects of climate change and to enable a well-managed transition to a low-carbon economy, while growing new sectors of our economy and creating jobs and opportunities.

Zero Waste Masterplan (2019)

The Zero Waste Masterplan (2019) by MEWR maps out Singapore’s key strategies to build a sustainable, resource-efficient and climate-resilient nation. This includes adopting a circular economy approach to waste and resource management practices, and shifting towards more sustainable production and consumption.

The Key Environmental Statistics 2019 publication by MEWR provides the latest annual statistics on clean air, air quality, solid waste management, environmental health, food safety and supply resilience, water resource management, climate change and energy efficiency, regional and international collaboration.

Climate Action Plan: Take Action Today, for a Sustainable Future (2016)

Singapore’s Climate Action Plan: Take Action Today, for a Sustainable Future (2016) comprises two complementary publications on Singapore’s mitigation and adaptation plans. The first publication, “Take Action Today, for a Carbon-Efficient Singapore”, contains information on how Singapore intends to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and increase energy efficiency to meet our 2030 climate pledge. The second publication, “A Climate-Resilient Singapore, for a Sustainable Future”, explains how Singapore may be affected by climate change and our strategy to prepare for them.
