There are several registered charities and Institutions of a Public Character (IPCs) in Singapore that are related to the environment and animal welfare sectors. These organisations operate on a not-for-profit basis to carry out activities, programmes and campaigns to champion various environmental, nature and animal causes.
Registered charities and IPCs are regulated by the Commissioner of Charities and fall under the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth in Singapore. The difference between charities and IPCs is that IPCs are charities which are able to issue tax deductible receipts for qualifying donations to donors.
